Another McGee girl!

Got a call from son Matt today and grandbaby # 6 due in September is a girl! This evens up the grandkids to 3 boys/3 girls. Especially happy for Alisa as this pregnancy has been extremely serious high risk so a girl after 2 boys is exciting for her!

April is National Autism Awareness Month! Please pray for a cure! My grandson, Caleb along with 1 out of every 150 births has Autism. Something has to be done. If I witness any miracle in my life I pray it will be that a cure for Autism has been discovered! Also just my opinion but from studying and reading I DO BELIEVE that immunizations do have something to do with it. Although i believe we should immunize our children I do believe if they have any other problems such as a cold, runny nose, fever, or ear infections which MIGHT have been Caleb's case to wait on the shots. Doctor's don't tell us that though because they do not believe that is the cause and Caleb had chronic ear infections as a baby. A child's immune system can not fight off infections etc. and then be given a live vaccine to fight also. Their little systems can not take on that much. THIS IS JUST MY THOUGHTS! Also have the Dr. spread the vaccinations out. At 16 months they are given so many of them once again their systems can not fight all that is given them. It is about this age that Autism is discovered and I truely believe it has Everything to do with that set of shots. Caleb at 9 months old looked you in the face, would laugh, and say YEAH. I don't believe the brain neuron theory what so ever. Caleb was a normal baby! Today he is almost 8 years old and non-verbal although his was caught at an early age and was helped immediately upon diagnoisis with sensor stimulations etc. He is a very intelligent and loving little boy and my prayer in life is that he can live a normal life. The Lord does hear and answer our prayers!

Laurie just bought a new Kasey Kahne hoodie off his trailer

Anyone that knows Laurie very well knows she a NASCAR freak and loves that #9 Driver Kasey Kahne. On February 25th a dream came true when she was a VIP at an autograph signing in Las Vegas. She said it would take a crowbar to knock the smile off her face!

On July 14th, 2009 George underwent a 6 way open heart bypass surgery. Last week his cardiologist gave him the okay as far as his activities there are no restrictions as to what he can do!

George is the Maintenance manager for Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. He also serves on a corporate IHC committee for this region. He was asked to attend a Trade show at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida on January 19th-23rd. He was able to take Laurie.

George is not the only one who turns 50 this month. Although Laurie is still 49 here her birthday was celebrated early on the 16th of January instead of the 19th as she will be on a plane that day headed for Orlando. Melissa threw her a family party.

Check out the smoke coming off that cake. On January 2nd, 2010 George officailly became over the hill and hit the big 50th. After a family dinner friends came by and he got some great gifts.... diapers, a came, emergency whisle, Old men rule shirt and hat, LARGE memo pad and LARGE deck of cards. just to name a few. It was a fun night!

In November 2009 Melissa and Tyler decided to start a family by adopting a Border Collie/English Spaniel mix they named Halo.

This is our third child and only daughter Melissa on her wedding day to Tyler Forman on Feb 26th, 2005 on Waialei Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii. Two weeks after the wedding they had a luau reception

This is Landen Matthew McGee. He is going to be 3 tomorrow. He is a walking, talking, clone of his father Matt. He is also very independant but has the funniest sense of humor.

This is Gavin Mark McGee. He is 6 years old and started Kindergarten this year. He is extremely intelligent and uses words that i don't know. He is at the top of his class. He loves to play with his little brother Landen. In this picture he is dressed in his tux as he was a ring bearer at Jeff and Brandi's wedding

This is Taylor Jordon McGee. She is 6 years old. She just started Kindergarten and also lives in the Houston, Texas area. She is an independant little girl with a mind of her own. Taylor and aunt Melissa are like 2 peas in a pod and when they get together it is so funny to watch. She absolutely adores her grandpa George who she calls Papa.

This is Caleb Scott McGee. He is 7 years old and the sweetest little boy you'd ever meet. He has autism and I pray everyday that a cure is found. I do a lot of research on it. He is in the second grade and I am told he loves school. He lives in Houston, Texas area and not a day don't go by that I don't think of him!

After the birth of Landen and the adoption by Matt of Gavin the family went to the St. George Temple in October 2007 and were sealed for all time and eternity

Then along came Landen Matthew McGee born January 8th, 2007. Born at Dixie regional medical center in St. George, Utah

Before Matt and Alisa were married, both had children from other relationships. Caleb and Taylor are Matt's children and Gavin is Alisa's son. On October 4th, 2007 Gavin was legally adopted by Matt. It was cute to here him say he was Gavin Mark McGee

On October 23rd, 2009 Jeff & Brandi became first time parents and gave us a beautiful grandaughter they named April Lyn. She was 7 lbs 5 oz and 20" long born at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St George, Utah
